Oh, and
Husband just got a letter from a 14 year old girl in the 4H. She wants him to be her date to the 4H fair or something to be auctioned off. He told me he'd rather buy the goat. Lovely mental image of the dog and a goat playing and eating our 500 square foot apartment...
Then he said he wanted the goat butchered for the meet. Can I get a collective blog-o-sphere EEEEWWW?

but what if it were a female goat? then goat milk which means goat CHEESE!
i'm from ok and about to be an 1L in PA---just wanted to let you know I really enjoyed reading your blog. I would be interested in any advice you would give--maybe how you would have done that first year differently. I am also married and am interested in what you believe are the best ways to balance the husband and the law school
No no no, she doesn't want to auction me off she wants me to go as her buyer. She wants me to buy either her pig or her meat goat. Meat goats don't make milk, they are raised for roasting and they never get preggers therefore no meat. I am just not sure if I am going to have the $300 to buy the pig. I would like to support the 4H club, as I think they do good work. I guess 2 bucks/lb for the pig is pretty damn good though. That means organic raised ribs and tenderloin for 2 bucks a pound that is normally 10-20/lb. Maybe I should just suck it up and go fer it.
